According to DVSA data, new drivers take on average 45 hours of in-car learning before they become test ready, but everyone learns at different rates. Generally the more lessons you take the better driver you will become. Your instructor will let you know when you are ready but most of the time you will feel it too.
Returning to driving, or looking for a new instructor? If you want to expand your expertise, or you are just a bit rusty, we can cater refresher lessons to your needs. Whether you have driven before, have an international licence, or just need lessons to get rid of any bad habits that you have picked up prior to a practical test this is something we can assist with.
Intensive Driving courses
Dive Right In
Intensive driving courses, sometimes called crash courses, are for people who want to pass their driving test very quickly - usually within 3-7 days depending on level of experience. You would normally expect to have lessons lasting between 4-6 hours per day.

Services
Looking to improve your skills and confidence over a few months? Our standard lessons are 2 hours long and are tailored to help you achieve that. You can opt to purchase them individually or in a block booking. Perfect for those who want to take their time and learn at their own pace.
The frequency of your lessons depends on how often you can afford them, your instructor’s availability and your personal schedule. However, you should aim for around one or two lessons per week. Don’t forget that most people spend around 45 hours on lessons and 22 hours practising with a relative or friend. If you cannot afford to have multiple lessons each week, schedule as much practice time as you can. This will help keep what you’ve learned fresh in your mind, reducing the time spent going over past lessons.
If you are short on time, our intensive courses are perfect for those who are wanting to pass their Driving Test within a matter of 1-2 weeks. All of our courses are given on a one to one basis and are planned so you gain the most experience and knowledge in as little time as possible. Please note, that you will need to have passed your theory test prior to commencing an intensive course with us.
